Examinations

The kids exams are done ... yey for them and me!

They just finished their three day periodical exams and i am just hoping that they did well. I have never imposed a perfect test grade rule, i always say, "Do your best." that was enough for me. I have never been grade conscious with my children's grades, i am just fortunate that they like going to school and they get good grades, its really icing on the cake. My main objective is to make the kids like and not loathe school, and i think i am succeeding.

Bea being this her first year in high school is doing well, she ranked top 2 in her class last quarter and made it on the 8th spot among all the first year students in their school. So proud of her!

As a celebration for it (i really specified that it was not a prize) i asked her to pick any book she wanted, she wanted to try to read Nancy Drew Detective stories, and luckily there was a starter set that had the first volume up to the sixth, so i got her that and she was so happy.

I already know what to give Bea for Christmas .... an electronic book that can load up to a hundred of books and yet not have the burden of carrying them around. I am sure she would love it! I will try scouting for the perfect one now.
