Alive

This is my newest vitamin supplement adventure. I started taking it last week after hearing the seminar on it during parent-teacher meeting in school. There is also a marketing side of the business but i will not go into it as i have had a bad experience in networking ... so pass in that department. But i like the product and i heard of testimonials from my friends and not from someone who is a friend of a friend of a friend .. lol!

Will update you if this suits me ... but as one week of taking it it looks pretty good. :)

It is no secret ... i love Fridays!

You can feel the excitement in my posts when it is nearing Friday or IT IS Friday! Yey!

I asked Christian if he can come home a bit early later because i want to go and look at something in the mall. He said yes and said he will hit the road home as soon as he finished his month end credit report and he is free as a bird. I am so excited! Even if i can go to the mall anytime there is still a difference if you go on a Friday because you can stay as late as you can and have no worries that there is schol the next day. All cares are thrown in the wind once Friday comes in.

Color

This is my new profile picture (avatar) in facebook. I even for my status message "coloring my world" partnered with the picture. Tee-hee!

People often will say that "life begins at 40" .. i do not agree .. my life has begun so many years ago so for me that popular saying is not true but should be changed to "Life gets better at 40!" That is how i feel about entering the 40's .. it will still be a long trek to 50 so i am making sure i enjoy every moment of it.

Spoke to my brother a few minutes back while we bumped into each other at ym while he was looking for spring plungers for their company that he too is wary of his entering the 40 zone this year .. hahaha! Told hime there was nothing to worry about, this is the life! Told him to brace himself as this is going to be one wild ride!

Summer Cleaning

I started with a few boxes from the kid's room and believe me when i say it can be overwhelming. So i guess this is a good idea to jumpstart summer cleaning, i don't think i can handle it in one, two or even three sittings! They also have lots of toys that they no longer play with, i made a box for these toys that we can donate somewhere where they can be put to good use. There are also a lot of books and i know i can even sell textbooks especially the ones from past school years and have money to but more books that Bea has been raving about. She has a growing interest to mystery books so i will support her all the way, i remember when i was younger i had a complete collection of Nancy Drew books .. wonder what happened to them. It has beenlight years ago anyway, i just hope they are in good hands.

More Than You Can Be

We all have a full schedule everyday since we are all striving to make it good not just for ourselves but for our family and for the society we belong in. We try on different things to make ourselves more capabale and more equipped to handle the present way of life. The coming of the internet has so many things to offer that it truly is breathtaking. You can actually have a degree, say for example criminal justice degrees online that are available right in the comforts of your home, in your own time and pace. What makes more online degrees inviting is that you do not have to give up anything like for example your job to do it, you can have the as the popular saying goes "the best of both worlds" nowadays. There are a lot of opportunities available to make more of ourselves and i am licky to have been part of this generation where everything is accessible and attainable with a few strokes of the keyboard.

We can make more out of ourselves and make a difference.

Practice Makes Perfect

It's the last day of exams today for the kids and we had a great share of revieweres plus practice problems in math to solve. Happily the kids enjoy the added challenge by reviewing past lessons ensuring that they good in the test. I am the only one complaining actually about studying for exams, but i must add that i "complain" quietly .. hahaha ... i don't ever wan to give a negative impression to the kids with regards to studying. Luckily now on the internet you can even have access to LSAT prep courses right at your fingertips and this is very useful to give you the confidence to shine on the "dreaded" test. Tests should be fun, and when you are having fun it is easy to ace it ... practice and review is the key for exuding great confidence in anything that you do.

Stick To It

I have tried Ponds Age Miracle and have tried Olay Total Effects as well .. they both did not do me so much results .. but it could also lead to my failing to follow through the beauty regimen, yup, i am guilty of skipping applications for many reasons. Sometimes i am just too tired at night to apply it or too rushed to put in the morning, so i have not really given them a chance to acyually work on my face. I am now looking at Olay Regenerist after watching the commercial on tv, but i am still searching for the best wrinkle cream that i promise to stand by and really apply it. I know it is out there i just have to convince myself of the urgency of it since i am in my 40's and my biological clock is ticking like a time bomb .. haha!

Embarassing

My sister and i were talking over lunch about certain things and one thing lead to another and before we knew it we were talking about hemorrhoid treatment over food, i guess it was okay since we were both benefiting from the information ... but the couple at the next table was looking at us in disgust .. hahaha! What a topic i must say .. but it happens and it had to be discussed, no matter what, lol! We changed the topic and continued on eating and exchanging naughty smiles as we looked at the couple who finally managed to eat peacefully. I just love having random coversation while eating.makes me digest my food better. Tee-hee!

Yummy

We had lunch at Teriyaki Boy yesterday and i ordered this kiddie meal for myself .. hahaha! I just love the "just right" serving for me. I love the shrimp tempura t answer my shrimp craving, the chicken tepanyaki to build muscles for my slim body (hahah!), the skewered mango and watermelon fruit kebab, the coffee cream dessert for my sweet tooth and cool iced tea. The perfect meal for a small appetite that asks for a lot of variety. I heart this!

Take Control

Bea has started to have a few skin breakouts on her forehead and a few on her nose and she is a little bothered. I have been through a lot with teenage skin blemishes when i was younger so i really don't want Bea to go through that. I searched for a site to help me with my questions and give me solutions and i found http://www.acnetreatmentguide.org very helpful. I really am making sure i do things right for Bea so she does not have any problems with acne and other skin blemishes now that she is just starting her teenage years where they are passing through a stage of self discovery. I know i am now more armed with information to help my budding little girl fight skin problems. We have to take comtrol and nipit on the bud.

Gaining Fast

Lately, i have been getting comments that i am gaining weight ... and the thing that surprises me is i am not doing anything differently ... so that means my metabolism is slowing down or my age is sneaking up from behind. I have not increased my food intake but this two months alone i gained fifteen pounds ... whoa! It is just comforting to know that there are actually diets that work if things go out of hand in the next few weeks. The added pounds looks good as my friends say since i have always been slim, i welcome the compliments, but i am just thinking on ways to just maintain the weight gain to a minimum. I don't want to get carried away .. literally. I am watching what i eat now and have started a few simple excercises in the morning to tone the middle section ... hahaha!

Valentine Gift

Christian gifted me with a card that gives me free wi-fi access for six months!

Woohoo!

I activated it the other day at Rockwell Starbucks, he gave me three more cards to give away, so i gave my two sisters and my brother who are all internet users 24/7. The free wi-fi acces works on laptop computers, ipods and even wi-fi ready mobile phones.

I love it!

My sibling loved it too .. at least saves me from buying them valentine gifts too! Six months validity!

Projects

Our school is coming up with a Science exhibit this Friday and i am helping out while waiting for Vin to finish his class. I am helping out make a "Good" tree that we will stick vegetable and fruits (play food) and a "Bad" tree that we will stick junk food and sodas. I am having a great time bonding with the other mommies but the only thing that is bothering me is the heat ... wish there was a ceiling fan installed in the waiting area to somehow cool it. Summer is almost here i think considering the tremendous heat we are having these past few days ... have to get my girls' suits ready, I love summer! No school! Lol!

Shaping Up

Christian proudly showed me his trimmed down waist, and yes i was impressed on how he was able to do it ... but i did not show him too much enthusiasm so he will be more pressured to work on it more. It has been a running joke with the two of us that he always says he will show me where his abs are as soon as he finds it ... hahaha! But from what i saw looks like there is a possibility that it won't be long before they show themselves again. Since his birthday is coming up soon i am toying ont he idea of giving him cool rubbershoes that he can use for walking around the neighborhood, i particularly like skechers shape ups that are out now, really looks sturdy and effective for shaping up. Will search the net for more things that i can pair it up with. Looking forward to seeing the "new" Christian in no time!
