Good Update

My sister, Kathy just called me and said the BP is slowly going down with the onset of increased meds intravenously .... hopefully if remains down we can be transferred to a regular room by tomorrow. My other sister is already occupying the regular room because we are already getting billed for it since we were suppose to have transferred yesterday.

I pray that he gets better and be transferred to a regular room for a change of scenery, the ICU scenario is starting to bug him plus we get to be with him one at a time, though we usually break the rules and be there two to three at a time. Maybe a few minutes of television or a glimpse of daylight or night will do wonders for him.

I know everything will be okay ... just a matter of time.

Options

When we were in the hospital, my aunt went up to me and discussed with me insurance stuff. I hardly know anything about it since Christian's coverage has us protected as well from what i know but she was saying something that if Christian resigns from his job our coverage will might as well be kissed goodbye or if we decide to continue it we might be shortchanged. I will have yet to discuss with Christan the extent of our coverage since my mind is still on fixated on my papa's condition. As soon as the air in my head clears i will definitely take in serious consideration of the available and prevailing insurance rates there is to keep our family protected and secured. I want to study our options and if there is a neeed to get another insurance or not.

Drama in Photos

A very dramatic set of photos from New Moon in Italy movie set ... spoiler? Not!

Rested

I have so many things on my mind lately and getting a good night sleep is quite hard to achieve. My papa had a stroke last Sunday and everything is just topsy turvy in my world. He is still in ICU and was aiming for a trabsfer to a regular room yesterday ... we were actually packed to transfer when his blood pressure went high again. We had to increase the dose of the meds that will bring his BP down and forgo the transfer to a regular room for now.

I get aroung 20 texts all through out the night for bp updates in the hospital from my sister who Loren who is doing the night shifts before i go there in the next day. I had asked Christian to absent from work for a couple of days so i could go to the hospital without the kids, and am glad that he is really supporting me.

My back is hurting from the tossing and turning the whole night while i read and ponder on the texts ... i know he will be better really soon and i know God is in control ... but i really cannot discount that all my nervousness is taking its toll on me.

A good friend of mine suggested that i look into getting a sleep number bed instead of the one we have now so i can somehow feel rested despite the turmoil in my head. I will look into that for sure but i would like to request a small prayer for my papa that he gets better really soon. I will be haeding to the hospital in a bit as soon as i finish some unattended household chores. Ugh!

Pictures Pictures

I have tons of pictures taken from my camera everytime we have an event and sometimes the need for me to download everything to my computer will make space for the next activity .. but the thing is sometimes i hardly have time to do that. I am now scouting for a reliable and large capacity flash memory that will solve my storage dilemna. I sure don't want to be burdened of uploading and downloading everytime to ensure i do not have any missed moments with the kids. Here are a few "moments" of Vin ... i sure would not want to miss these .. lol!

I Can't Wait

Need i say more?

I can't wait!

Summer Almost Over

Just a few more days .... summer is over.

The brain sure dampened the summer activities but still i made ways for my kiddies to enjoy the summer break despite the early rainshowers. I always searched the internet for activities for them and came across a site showcasing the best rv parks and really wish i could bring the kids to these safe places and just have fun with other campers as well. I am sure my kids would love the experience and have the great family bonding i always treasure!

Krisy Creme Summer

Bea and Sam had a great time last Friday when they joined the very first Krispy Creme Summer Certificate Program! They had lots of fun decorating their donuts for Mother's Day and had a b last making colored icing. They went with their cousin Marielle and it was really a yummy treat for them having all the candies and chocolaes on hand ... heheheh!

Eager to start!

With their cousin, Marielle

The graduate .. hehehe!

So proud .. and asked me if she could join again .. hehehe!

With Teacher Vicky Veloso-Barrera

My sister Kathy and i had tons of doughnuts to finish now!

Heat Is On

After complaining about the wet season coming way too early the weather these past few days have been scorching! Why can't we have a regular sunny day? Hahaha!

Our aircon is on almost 24/7 and i can just shiver at the thought of the electric bill amount coming in anytime this month ... it would sure heat the place more. I am thinking of saving a l;ittle bit by putting the aircon on timer and letting the iur ever dependable ceiling fans to take it from there and let the remaining cool air of the aircon go around the room and still have the cool effect. I am trying to keep us cool and keep our electric consumption at the minimal amount possible ... goodluck to me!

But, i just have to add that really it is so h-o-t!

Rainy Summer

I can't believe the news the other night.

The weatherman said and actually confirmed that the rainy season has already began with the presence of the cold front and other weather lingo that lost me somewhere in the middle of his speech. What??!!! Where has summer gone? We have not yet gone to the beach!

I love the rain don't get me wrong .. but its sad to say that i missed summer altogether.

Manny Paquiao Wins

After a mere two rounds he was able to literally knock-out Hatton in this much publicised boxing match. He did not even get to his best punches yet. I was never a fan of boxing nor Manny but i must say he fights well. His hard and strict training really paid off and i think that is where his success comes from ... Filipinos are known to be prepared and to push oneself to it's limit to get the results we want to achieve. We are perfectionists really.

This brings me to my personal goal to look trim and healthy really soon! I really am dead set to look and feel good in no time which is why i am looking for the best weight loss supplements available, i want to do it correctly and most of course safely ... no crash diets for me. I want to look, feel and be healthy not just for myself but for my family, and just like Paquiao i will come out the victor!

Most Meaningful

Of all the Stations nof the Cross that we have visited, the best and most meaningful for me was the Walkway: Reflections on the Stations of the Cross at Bonifacio High. It was in a way the same with the others but the way it was presented is something unique and gave more impact and meaning to the one reading it. It was my first encounter with an interactive Stations of the Cross and was so glad i was able to do it with Bea and Sam who i know really benefited from it as well. After each station activity there was a feeling of accomplishment and cleansing that made my faith stronger.

Will definitely look forward to it next year ... this is a must visited activity after doing the Visita Iglesia wgich i vow to do again next year with the entire Avellana family again.

My Baby Is Now A Lady

I have mixed emotions, really.

It happened last night, Bea called me to the bathroom ... and there i saw it.

She is only eleven and before i know it she will be transforming in my eyes even before i can grasp the whole thing. My baby is a blossoming lady. Was not just ready for this to come so soon.

I knew it was coming ... but not this fast.

They truly grow up rapidly, like a thief in the night.

I will defintitely cherish their childhood till i can.

I also have to take care of myself actually so i can somehow keep up with their pace ... don't want them to grow up with a poor excuse of a mom ... so here i am keeping myself in check, will have to seriously start an exercise program and if all else fails will take weight loss pills to help me get my weight target fast and then maintain it with proper food intake and proper exercise.
