It looks easy .. but believe me it's not! I have had my share of falls, i was the first casualty, so i am kind of careful when i board it ... hahaha! My first fall was traumatic ... New Year's Eve!

But hey, you just stand up and try again ... and again .. and again!

Kids Time

No matter how busy our weekday gets (and it can be really busy!) we make sure weeekends are spent with the kids in mind. I have scheduled pick ups and meet-ups but i try to work around it that i do not compromise Bea, Sam and Vin's quality time for play. Most of the time i ask Christian to take care of the meetups not unless there is a particular client who wants me to sit down with tham and discuss designs, if not he can handle it well while i do some weekend fun with the kiddies.

It has been a fun weekend ritual to go waveboarding, biking or scooter time at Boni High for the past weeks and this the kids look forward to. I look forward to the donuts at Krispy Creme and the take outs of milkshakes at McD's before heading to our "spot".

I am happy that the kids really look forward to the weekend that is why i can never let them down by not planning anything for them when the coveted weekend comes!

Weekend Camping

We are going camping!!

Yup, you read it right .. hehehe!

We are going to Caliraya on Saturday to celebrate my mama's birthday and make it into a camping activity.

The kids are excited as we have certain things that we have to bring like blankets, utensils, flashlights and the like.

My papa made a great line up of activities from pull out time (5:00 am) to exercise, playing charages, hiking, bonfire with hotdog and marshmallows, fishing, kiting, swimming in the wading pool, hearty lunch, charades, card games up to clean up time.

Pool Time

Summer is finally here!!

The heat is really getting the best of me ... and here i thought we will still be having the cool weather till February ... fat chance!

Wow, if only i could just dive in a pool anytime of the day and have a refreshing dip in my backyard .. hahaha, i can dream can't i?

Then maybe i would be looking and searching the net for pool supplies this time and not just shop for toys, toys, toys for the little kiddies!

What a nice thought .. a cool pool just waiting for me to withstand this heat wave!

Well, just recently my papa (jose Mari Avellana) was proclaimed "Outstanding Male Lead Performance in a Play" by the Philstage's Gawad Buhay 2008 Awards!

All is Well

All my kiddies are doing good .. we just had a day or two of under the weather scenario and now they are up and about!

God is truly good!

Feverish

It must be the weather ...

Bea's classmates were all taking turns being absent from class because of fever, even her cousins weere recent victims of it .. last Monday Bea too had very high fever. She missed school and as much as it breaks her heart not to go to class she stayed home for two days .. and now she is up and about and happily going to school.

Vin last night was starting to feel hot ... before long he had the fever too.

He remained good natured as we never told him he was sick so he played with his sisters not knowing he is running a fever. After a while he started to feel the heat and decided to take a nap.

Today, he woke up still feverish but nonetheless never cranky.

He took his paracetemol meds and is now sleeping.

Looks like by this afternoon his fever would have left him as well.

I promised to play with him playstation as soon as he wakes up.

Let the games begin!

Present Time

Everytime my kids reach a milestone in their young life i try and to give them something, it could be a small token, a toy that they like, a book or anything that i know they really like.

I give them gifts too after every year level, not as an incentive to give me high grades but as a congratulations gift that they did well.




Here is what we got for Sam's First Communion congratulatory milestone gift, and she loved it! She is more of the girly stuff, while Bea is more on the crafty arty side. I got the idea she liked this when she called me one time to show me the ad this product ran on cable tv ... lucklily i was able to get it for her in time for her First Communion, she really was not expecting it.

My Goal

I have many things i want done this year, and one is to flatten my tummy!

I promise to accomplish that before summer, i i already got a dvd targetting the abs area, and i am challenging myself to do this within the time frame i specified. Goodluckto me!

In one of my egroups they were talking extensively and marvelling how Lipovox has helped them lose weight effectively and safely. Will be surfing the net on it for myself as well and read more about it as i am getting interested with their success stories. I could even recommend it to some of my friends on facebook who are looking for a sure and safe way to lose the unwanted pounds.

Waiting For This

I saw the trailer of this one and i am looking forward to watching this! Many people don't fancy Jennifer Aniston, but i like her, so natural and funny. I like watchingmovies that have good looking actors (heheh) and actresses, gives me tips too to look great. I look at their lipsticks shades, make-up and even how they walk .. hehehe!

Love how Drew Barrymore was able to slim down, look like she is taking effective diet pills like Ephedrasil hardcore to slim down fast and nicely. You don't want to slim down and look haggard right? Defeats the purpose of looking good. I am waiting for this movie and relate to the characters in some way ... maybe get a new crush ...hmmm.. no, looks like Gerard Butler mania is here to stay!

Waterless

Uh-oh, we are waterless!

We left the house Saturday morning and was caught unaware that when we came back (wee hours in the morning of Sunday) that water supply of Maynilad was not available.

Turns out there is a drainage problem somewhere nearby and some areas will be waterless for three days!!!

Spoke to my friend and she told me it was on the news .. uh-oh, didn't catch it there.

My only consolation is our water tanks (one large one and a smaller one) was full to the brim Friday night. There is stil water coming out of our faucets (thanks to our tanks!) but once our supply runs out ... oh no!

So i am kind of conserving water .. hopefully they really stick to the schedule and we will have our water supply back this afternoon.

Water .. gasp .. gasp ... lol!

Women Wants

I am turning into a movie buff lately and have managed to squeeze in a movie or two within the week ... and my latest movie is this light, funny and sentimental movie starring Meg Ryan and Annette Bening. Can you believe this is the only movie that did not show any man on it ... hahha! Yup, there were men being talked about since this movie also has a storyline of having a illicit affair, but believe me they were able to go through the whole movie without the men delivering their lines.

Women really ruled this movie, literally!

In the car of high powered shopper Annette Bening she even had a GPS installed so there actually was no way to get lost and ask for directions, it was all there, the women took care of every detail.

A good movie of friendship, not too heavy, just light and endearing. Looks like i am turning into a movie reviewer .. hahaha!

Video Selections

We all have different tastes in what we watch when it comes to movies, we all like comedy though.
I for one am not fond of action movies, but Christian digs that. He likes war movies, action flicks and even science fiction stuff. The kids want cartoons, adventure, fanatsy and Christian videos usually occupy the kinds of things they want to watch. I am a drama, love story and true to life story kinds of movie goer. Having a vast selection of things we watch widen our knowledge and open a lot of windows in our imagination. I really love watching ... just need some time to sit down and do it.

Weekend Tv Time

My weekdays are really packed ... from keeping house, taking care of the kiddies, being a wifey (hehehe) and my designing duties, enough to keep my entire day covered. I have my work cut out for me really. But weekends are a real treat for me as i have some TV Time! Cheap thrills that i really enjoy with the family. It's a time for me to catch up on current events, celebrity news, and cool tv deals that i thrive for! hahaha! This way i am still on top of things and getting the best for my money! That sure is a way to realax and save at the same time!

Bowling Logo

Made this bowling logo for Christian as a surprise for him.

Why?

Because he is starting to have regular fun bowling tournaments with his officemates and he spearheads it and oragnizes everything. So i decided to make him a logo to use everytime he sends out his emails to confirm attendance and give out game schedules.

Emailed him the logo the other day at his office and he was so surprised!! Hehehe!

He loved it! He even included me in the email he sent out that day that had the logo on! So glad he liked it! Will be making him some keychains for his big game next month as an added bonus!

Playing Games

My kids just love playing games, may it be on the play station, game boy, cd rom games and even online games. I see their reaction whenever they play and i know they are having a great time!

I too have been getting some game breaks to beat stress and finally have time to unwind and rejuvenate my tired mind .. hehehe! I was lucky enough to find cool adventure games that i can download and play to my heart's content. Christian too has been trying his hand on these games and we play using different characters and since we have different decisions to make every move we have different twists in our game which makes it more interesting to play.

While playing the games which has high definition graphics it's like a story unfolding or like a visual novel to me! There is a game called Heileen that is going through different quests and along the way you get to meet different characters and interact with them at your own desire and suprisingly makes twists to the story, with your every move you can actually end up in three different kinds of endings, really depends on how you will play it. It is really an exciting and interactive in a way as it waits for your move to a certain situation and how you will be able to get the quest done.

Another one i also like playing with hubby is the popular dating sim games and we take turns on what to do .. hahaha! This game actually surprises me as i noticed Christian and i have different actions to take on a particular situation, it is a good bonding time for us and for me a great way to relax before i take on my workload at night. I just love playing games, i am really still a kid at heart!

I can't believe i actually have a movie star crush .. hahahah!

Funny, but now that i have thought about it i was never into celebrity crushes ... but Gerard Butler is a different story!

Watched Twilight, and i found Robert Pattinson (Edward Cullen) endearing .. but forgettable ... hehehe!

But not Gerard! First name basis ... hahaha!

I think this has to come with my age ... heheh!

Will be scouring the video store for his films, i already have three titles that i want! He starred in the movie 300 (not my type of movie, so i will pass on that) and Phantom of the Opera (pass as well ... lol!), Dear Frankie (whilch i will watch!!!) and one adventure for kids movie (forgot the title).

Watched some interviews on him at Youtube with Ellen and others ... heheheh!

Scrapbooking Find

Nope they are not earrings nor brooches ... but they are pearl studded embelishments that are now available for scrapbooking enthusiasts like me!

Wow, i can't get over the vast selection coming out now and all are available online. I used to remember when i was just starting out when mere paper boards were considered embelishments ... look how far we have come! I heart scarpbooking ... a special way to keep memories alive!

Swept

Had a cry fest yesterday when i watched P. S. I love you ... first off i did not know what to expect from the movie as i had not seen any teaser of it. I just blindly got the dvd and popped it in the machine with no expectations whatsover. Lo and behold after 10 minutes ... i was crying like crazy!



Gerard Butler has swept me off my feet! OMG! I soooo like him! Heheheh! I still can't get over the movie which by the way gave me a freakin' headache with all the bouts of crying i had to endure. I guess this to date is THE movie that made me cry the most .. hahaha!




Wow! I can't get over it look at him brimming with appeal in a tuxedo, which by the way in the movie there is a scene there where he is wearing a tux that really made me fall .. hahaha!

Move over Hugh Grant, Keanu Reeves and Brad ... this is now my beau! Hehehe! Will start searching for his other movies and watch them one by one .. hehehe!
