Our Babies

Semestral Break officially open!

Even if it's just a four day break .. i still savor it!

Was in the mall yesterday after their school program when we passed by the pet store ... sam again oggling at the baby rabbits ... then i decided on a spur of the moment to get sam a white (red eyed) baby rabbit ... so when she was not looking i asked the attendant to get me one.

Upon seeing it in my arms Sam rushed to me .. as expected! Hahahha!

Of course, Bea followed in unison ... "Buy me one too mama, i like the brown one!" so there it became two.

Bought beddings and food too.

As we were going up the escalator to the next floor i kept on hearing Vin asking if he could carry one rabbit .. but it fell on deaf ears .. hahahha!

I really did not buy Vin one because i know when the girls will be in school he will take over .. but since his plea to hold is unsuccessful and it looked like it will not le up any soon ... decided to go bck to the pet store and get him his own ... (here i am again .. sucker!) hahahha!

Three rabbits to clean and look after ... uh-oh.

But after seeing their smiles ... i know its going to worth it!

So excited!

Proudly showing me their babies!

His own rabbit "Cotton!" ... hahahha!

One has been lulled to sleep with a lullaby ... one is being given water .. while the other one is being handfed with pellets .. hahahha! I now have three busy rabbit nannies!

Bea even came out with handwritten rules like:
1. Do not carry the rabbit so much as it will be stressed.
2. Do not drag the rabbit. (lol!)
3. Sing to the rabbit as often as you can.
4. Don't shout when the rabbits are nearby, they will be startled.
and many more ... the list is growing by the minute!

Happy Caregivers!

Starting Early

For me this is early .. i don't know for others.

I officially have with me my first Christmas gift to start Christmas shopping rolling. I have yet to complete my list but i usually don't stick to i anyway .. so i might just not do it this year .. hahaha!

I usually start shopping first week of November ... but given the things i have to do plus the perfect gift for my nephew was staring at me at that monent, might as well buy it.

So here goes another shopping quest as the holidays come near.

Taking a Break

The kids were at my mom's house last night and Christian and i had a rare time to finally go out and have some drinks ... hahahaha, what drinks am i talking about all i ordered was a tropical punch .. hehehe!

But all the same we enjoyed the break ... a break that lasted a mere two hours. We went to this cozy bar and told Christian that we sit on the bar stools for a change since we did not have kids with us, so no worry that they will fall. It sure was a big difference to the sofa styled booths we always make our way to when the dine out with the kids.

Sure was a pleasant break .. but can't help but miss the kids and know they would love to spin around the stools ... hahaha!

Best HSM

Took my two girls to watch the opening of High School Musical 3 lasy friday ... and it was really nice! I love the movie and the songs! Feeling senior naman daw ako ... hahaha!

The girls liked it so much and since they have been watching the trailer and mtvs of the songs they can easily follow the story and singo along to the new songs.

We brought pizza, soda, burgers and fries and binged out in front of Zac Efron .. hahaha!

Bought a dvd yesterday (of course not yet dvd copy) just so the girls can sing along to the music as the soundtrack is not yet available. Was able to download songs from Limewire too and are all stored in my phone for the girl's listening pleasure!

Hsm3 rocks!

Thinking of Homeschooling

It just dawned on me now that Vin will be going to school next year (he will be turning 5 by then) i am seriously considering trying homeschooling for my little boy. I have heard a lot of good things about homeschooled children and of course i want the best for them ... who doesn't?

Being a stay at home mom i make sure i provide them healthy cooking all the time aside from making sure they are well taken cared off and their needs properly met .. that is our job.

I began to think if a traditional school is best for Vin ... or should i venture into the less taken road of homeschooling? I have some friends who are succesfully homeschooling their kids and they can do it .. so what did i do ... i took the plunge ... i joined a homeschooling egroup a few hours ago to get me into the heart of it and really see for myself if i am homeschool-mom material.

And if thinks look good (sounding very optimistic here) i might get my girls to do the same ... of course this is given the premis that my powers can handle the pressure (if any) .. i am really in the dark here (Borrowed from "Scent of a Woman" line) so will play it by ear, next school year is still a few months from now ... so much time to ponder on it.

Treats

When Sam had a school a party last month, this was a snap shot of her lootbag that her happy classmates enjoyed! Sam had Pizza, Spaghetti and Ice Cream for them during recess time ... we even brought red heart shaped balloons!

Sorting Again

I just love it when i know there is an upcoming holiday ... that really means i have Chritian around the house to help me with my longest running quest to clean up and box the things we hardly use. I have been succesful in organizing a lot already and have them all numbered with the contents of each box in my computer. Now, i have the need to opem them and get the somethings we need for Christmas decorations ... luckily we have an ever dependable box cutter that makes opening my precious boxes in a zip ... and it opens neatly so when i am done closing it up with packing tape is no trouble at all! My boxes look like it was not even opened at all.

I can really feel the Christmas breeze with all the decors put now!

Merry Christmas!

Means Business

We were at Shakey's the other day to have a quick snack while Bea and Vin were in the playground (just beside the tables) so this is my perfect spot .. i watch them while i eat! Sam opted to eat with me and she ordered a strawberry milkshake and shared with me my thin crust pizza. She would stand up a few times to look at her sibling then come back and eat ... heehe!

Showing off her extra thick tall milkshake

Cool .. yum!

My Pizza!

She was so excited rating the service and the food .. hahah! This girl knows her rights! And take note she is even hiding what she is writng with her handkerchief ... hehehe!

Unexpected

This really was so unexpected.

I have been hounded with a toothache .. which is really funny because my dentist assured me as i had no cavity when i had my bi-yearly check up the other week. But the pain is something that i cannot hide, it really is getting the best of me. I called my dentist and said that i am sure something is terribly wrong .. it is soooo painful, and i have not had a toothache for many many years (i think that last time was when i was in gradeschool). So my dentist prescribed me pain relievers and antibiotics for it. Then yesterday, i had an xray (asked Christian if he could take a day off so he can accompany me and he can look after Vin while i go in the clinic) so off we went. The xray showed that inside my tooth (something that you cannot see from outside, under the permanent filling) was a cavity!

It was what they called a recurring cavity!

Since it was working it's way in the inside of my tooth, it could not be seen when i have my oral prophylaxis ... so there was no other option ... but to extract!

It was freakingly painful!

Oh my, Christian said i was shiverring ... i know because i was really very nervous. I have had very traumatic dental experiences when i was smaller and at that very moment it was reliving it all over again. I was really scared. Really scared .. i would take giving birth anytime .. heheheh!

I instructed Christian not to let Vin see me during the process, especially since it was just days when he had his very first dental visit and it turned out good. My dentist said my tooth was anchored strongly so he made several attempts to extract it ... to my dismay! There was also the hidden fear that it might crack in the middle and some of it (the root) might need more help in extracting. I was really imaging the worse.

After A LOT of pulling, he yanked out my tooth .. at last!

Yes, it was so painful.

Until now i am still taking antibiotics and pain relievers as the hole in my gum is so large, and i eat only on the other side of my mouth ... this is hell.

My only consolation is maybe after a few days te pain will no longer hound me ... forever.

I am happy my kids have no cavities so they will never experience what i have been through. .. and that i made really sure, they will be having their next check up in April for regular cleaning. At least i have not passed on to them my dental phobia .. meron bang ganun? Dental Phobia? heheheh!

Weeked So Fast

It will never cease to amaze me where the rest of the days went by ... in just a few hours it will be another hectic Saturday filled with errands, deliveries, meet ups and giving the kids a time to unwind after a week of school. Time really flies so fast, i will not be surprised that after a few posts it will be again Cyber Monday and another jampacked fast week! That is why i always have the credo of "Seize the day!", because really if you do not .. it will just fly past you ... so seize the day, enjoy life, no worries!

Crunch

Who has not felt it?

Yes we are really experiencing the economic crunch ... may you be anywhere in the world, the crisis is really looming and we should really think of ways to make ways to earn and come up with a good life for us and for our family. This is one of the reasons why everybody is looking and venturing on different kinds of small business opportunities that could really help us get over the crunch. Just try and be brave and take the challenge, we can get over this in due time.

Connected

I have been hounded by my sister and niece to join facebook ... i said "No, thanks .. i have no time to maintain it" I had a friendster account ages ago and closed it after a few months .. had no time really. Plus having my biz, the kids, my blogs .. where else will i find time.

But then again .. nothing is permanent in this world .. so yes, i did succumb to the facebook challenge and opened an account. In just minutes i was bombarded with friend requests from long lost friends!!!! I was really overwhelmed to see my clasmmates way back from preparatory!
Seeing them with kids of their own and some who have changed preferences (hehehhe, you now what i mean) so i was really happy that i did join facebook!

My facebook account is only 2ays old but i laready have so much REAL friends (i am not the type to add just about anybody to increase number of friends .. i did that blunder with my friendster, because my brothr and i were having a contest on t who had more friends ..lol!)

So now, facebook is for me and my friends! heheheh!

I love it!

Open your account today .. o di ba parang commercial! :)

Doctor's Visit

Accompanied my sister to her doctor last Saturday and really surprised at how high consultation fees are nowadays. It has been a while (four years) since i was last confined so really i was shocked to know how much it has increased. She was given referral slips for ultrasounds and i know it would cost a lot. I am relieved that my sister has health insurance so she really has not felt the pinch. I should likewise reasses ours and get one to be sure.

Framed Tokens

I got orders for some leaving expatriates and they wanted to give them a personalized gift and yet still bring a little of the Philippines with them.

I then made them name frames and made a Philippines famous scenes as background.

I was told by my client that their expat friends loved their gift!

Think Green

My diet consists mainly of meat and chicken products and now that i am getting a tad older (hahaha) i should consider including vegetables in my everyday food fare. Leafy vegetables are okay with me so i want to try something more challenging than that ... so i searched for yummy and delectable easy green bean recipes that would make my diet balanced. Am raring to try this green beans with bacon ensemble this weekend! Hopefully with my zest to diving in the green kingdom my kids follow suit .. like they say "Practice what you preach!" so here goes my green adventure!

Cousin Bonding

Last week my brother's two kids met up with my three kiddies and played their heart's desire at Power Station, each of them having their own VIP cards to boot. My wallet almost bore a hole .. hahaha!

After that we had a hearty lunch at Dencio's, and the kids had fun seating beside each other while we grown ups stayed on the other side.

My sister in law who is taking diet supplements enjoyed the sumptous meal as well. Eveybody had a great time ... grownups and child alike!

Errands

This one of our everyday scenario when Vin and i have quick errands to do while the girls are in school .. this lasts three hours.

Look at Vin waiting patiently as we buy donuts to take home. He guards the things we bought while i go to the counter. This time we made quick stops at a bookstore as we buy my supplies for my orders, the grocery for snacks, the bank to pay some bills, the shoe department to get me new sandals and was all around the mall looking for a mobile router for Christian's office. This is an ordinary activity for the two of us .. but of course it is not complete without a trip to the arcade center for my partner!
