Acne Scare

My sister and i have had a long talk about our kids, we both have girls, but she already has a teenager in her hands. She has given me so many things to prepare me for my girls tween stage coming so fast i can hardly keep up. She gave me valuable tips on their grooming and even tried and tested acne cure, something i know i will really need be prepared for. Bracing myself for this delicate stage ... times two!

Reviewing Officially Over

Yes!

Hahaha!

Today marks the last day of reviewing .. tomorrow is the last day of the girl's tests ... TGIF! lol!

We battled (actually parang ako lang naman ang OA ..) english, language and cle last monday ... science, math and computer yesterday and today makabayan and filipino .. whew!

What makes it more challenging is i am tackling these subjects in two different leveles (kaya twice the fun!) hohoho!

Oh well, i know rest my teacher voice and hope my girls remember everything tomorrow. They are good students and i am lucky that they love school ... hehehe!

I will be getting the final grades at the end of the month during parent teacher meeting. Yey!

Back To Grade School

It's the first quarter final exams of my two girls and it really is a blast from the past! Grade School subjects hound me once again .. and here i was thinking i was way past that ... fat chance!

This time around it has more pressure as the girls are relying on me .. hahaha!

Can't wait for them to get to high school and meet up with long time friends Chemistry, Geometry, Trigonometry, Algebra and my favorite Physics!!! Just thinking about them is giving me chills .. lol!

Goodluck to the three of us! Hahaha!

My First 39 Post

Too much hype over a number .. hahaha!

Yes! I am excited to turn 40! One more year to go!

My birthday was well spent .. hectic .. but well spent up to the last minute!

On the eve of my birthday we were at my Mom's house and had a mini celebration .. was home at 1:30 am.

Woke up really early as i was scheduled for training (my new career) and met up with a lot of online friends (what a treat!) and the new venture looks promising .. so a good start really as i turn 39.

After the training (3:30pm) went to Serendra Boni High to party with my kids and niece (same birthday) and decorated cookies and cupcakes at Marta's Bakeshop ... then off to a sumptuous dinner with the entire Avellana family at Dampa in Libis ... home before 12:00 am and was surprised when a large Brooklyn pizza came (Christian secretly placed the order as soon as we got in ) and put a candle in the middle and they all sang the most popular song in the planet .. hahaha!

Vin asked me "mama, what is your favorite gift?"

I answered him, "Bibin my favorite gift of all were the cards you and your sisters made for me." and believe me they really were my favorite. I have come to realize that i do not need anything anymore ... but the drawings and words of my kids on paper is priceless.

I looked at Christian and said "But for you, i would like handsome looking home theater seating so you can enjoy watching your favorite movies."

I only want the best for my family .. because that is all they deserve!

I am so blessed with such a wonderful family!

Last Day To Be 38!

Tomorrow is my birthday!

I will be turning 39!!!!!!!

Funny how it looks .. just one more year .. 40 na ako! Yikes!

So officially this is my last entry as a 38er .. hahahha!

Pero really, i do not feel 39 (convincing myself?) this is my usual line every birthday .. i really do not feel i have aged .. always batang isip (kung di mukhang bata, sa isip man lang) and i am always happy na di ko pa feel na oldie na ako ( convincing myself further ..) hahaha!

Wala lang, posting lang before mag 12 am at ako'y maging full pledged 39er!

I have always liked Hillary Duff .. she so natural.

Loved her sa Lizzie series and my kids even saw her as a small Wendy (witch) .. watched the Cinderella story too!

Was suprised to see her so grown up now!

Online All Day

I officially declared an "all day online day" today when i woke up this morning .. believe me i have not been off the net since eight in the morning. What a feat!

I have done my tags, posted the awards and accomplished so much on the net today.

Was able to update my design website and as i have been planning for the longest time and was able to get an online auto insurance quote too!

Have a few more blog hops to do and answer three more emails and i am good to go!

Will start my online shopping in a while .. hahahaha!

Husband Program Glitch

INSTALLING A HUSBAND

Dear Tech Support ,

Last year I upgraded from Boyfriend 5.0 to Husband 1.0 and noticed a distinct slow down in overall system performance, particularly in the flower and jewelry applications, which operated flawlessly under Boyfriend 5.0 .

In addition, Husband 1.0 uninstalled many other valuable programs, such as:
· Romance 9.5 and
· Personal Attention 6.5,

and then installed undesirable programs such as :

· NBA 5.0,
· NFL 3.0 and
· Golf Clubs 4.1 .

Also Conversation 8.0 no longer runs, and Housecleaning 2. 6 simply crashes the system.

· Please note that I have tried running Nagging 5.3 to fix these problems, but to no avail.

What can I do?

DEAR DESPERATE ,

First, keep in mind,
· Boyfriend 5.0 is an Entertainment Package, while
· Husband 1.0 is an operating system.

Please enter command: ithoughtyoulovedme.html and try to download Tears 6.2 and do not forget to install the Guilt 3.0 update.
· If that application works as designed , Husband 1.0 should then automatically run the applications Jewelry 2.0 and Flowers 3.5.

However, remember, overuse of the above application can cause Husband 1.0 to default to Grumpy Silence 2.5 , Happy Hour 7.0 or Beer 6.1 .
· Please note that Beer 6. 1 is a very bad program that will download the Farting and Snoring Loudly Beta.

Whatever you do, DO NOT under any circumstances install Mother-In-Law 1.0 (it runs a virus in the background that will eventually seize control of all your system resources.)

In addition, please do not attempt to reinstall the Boyfriend 5.0 -program These are unsupported applications and will crash Husband 1.0 .

In summary, Husband 1.0 is a great program, but it does have limited memory and cannot learn new applications quickly. You might consider buying additional software to improve memory and performance. We recommend
· Cooking 3.0 and
· Hot Lingerie 7.7.

Medical Assistant Training

I found a great career in the internet!

I am helping out my cousin with her career options that she can do at home through the internet and found a reputable school, St. Augustine School of Medical Assistants very promising. They offer online medical assistant training at very reasonalble tuition rates which makes it more viable.

With this discovery, she can actually become a good medical assistant in the comfort of her home, something that she has been looking for some time now. I am glad that i was somehow instrumental in this new found career path for her.

Being a medical assistant proves to be a good career choice with it gaining popularity among career opportunities. In the coming years it promises to reach its growth more and my cousin will be there to harvest the fruits of her labor.

Another thing that made her make this good decision is that the programs are very short, they run from six to eight weeks only. Isn't that a fast way to embark on a fruitful career that will help her make something out of herself? Way to go!

Beijing 2008 Olympics

The day has come after all the hype ... 08.08.08 ....

Watched the opening and was really enthralled ... it was a spectacle!

Came the parade .. of course we patiently waited for our turn .. i knew Manny Pacquiao would be our flag bearer so was looking out for him ... the best athletes of every country paraded proudly most of them holding their own digital cameras ... lol!

Waited ... waited ...

Some groups had hordes of athletes while others had little .. and there were even some countries that participated that i did not know existed (absent siguro ako nung tinuro hahahha!)

And with a wink of an eye ... like the fast and the furious blows of Pacquiao's fist the Philippines cover was over (rhyming!) ... i don't think they even showed anyone from the Philippines waving to them (though i can hardly imagine how they can till be seen as they were far away and there were thousands of people) .. but then again .. the long wait was over in a snap.

So here is the picture, looked for it on the net and imagined it with parade background music. lol!

Smart Bath Essential Picks

My friend's baby shower is coming up in a few days and some of my friends and i decided to prepare a bath essentials basket for her little miracle. We brainstormed on what to include in our gift basket ... we decided to put some bath essentials in a pink bathtub and wrap it up in clear cellophane topped with a cute pink bow.

The contents is something we readily all agreed upon, we only want the best and we got innovative health products that our friend would surely love. We all have babies and we all were in favor of including only Johnson & Johnson products because we have all tried it and attest to it's pureness and benefits it gives to our own babies. We only want the best for our new mom to be and who else can give her the best products to use but us her friends who have tried and still use these for our children.

Just look at the things we got ... i especially liked this new head-to-toe wash cloths (i got few more packs for my kids too) it is so convenient!




























We are in one way helping out others with our smart buys my other friend pointed out, as J&J is hand in hand with Unicef and other organizations in helping improve lives and give proper health care by programs and projects. Makes us all happier with our choice of products .. excited to see our friend's face when she sees it all wrapped up!

Sister Duties

My sister and i were talking lengthily about what i should name my new blog. She kept on saying why i kept on bugging her for a suitable name and when she gives one i will say "Nah, not that.." hahahha! I told her it is her sister duties to withstand my questioning like a good and dutiful sister.

She in turn retaliated by letting me in on her search for a reliable broker, she is looking at futures trading and is asking for my opinion as well. Like a dutiful sister i visited their site and found them a good choice for her needs.

So that leaves her quest solved ... while mine is still in limbo.

But i know in due time, i will find the perfect domain name ... soon!

HSM Ice Tour

Was able to get the pictures from my sister's camera yesterday, the ones she took when we went to see the High School Musical Ice Tour. It sure was a nice show and the kids (all five of them, including my teenages niece) enjoyed the show and really sang along with the hsm hit songs that they really know by heart.

They are now gearing up for the HSM3 Seniors show in October!

Smart Buy

Found this handsome looking capresso and it has been hounding me for the past three days. I know this is one smart buy and is something that we should not pass by. Showed this Christian and he too agrees of the usefulness of this machine for us, we might even bring it to the office's pantry to make more use of it. This sure brings drinking to a higher level!

Job Opportunity

My friends from my egroup has been talking a lot about a new way to earn money while staying at home. It kind of sparked my interest having some free time at home in front of the computer. They just had to undergo an employment screening and they were off to embark on the new opportunity. Will study my options and will keep you posted if i do take the plunge as well.

Teenage Skin Dilemna

Saw my friend at the mall yesterday and was surprised to see that she already has a teenager, time sure flies! I was looking at her daughter and how she resembled her mom when my friend was younger and it was really amazing. It was like looking at my friend during her younger days, the only difference was her daughter had a few acne spots. My friend said ever since her daughter stepped into teenhood this has been their problem. If not only for those marks they just look like sisters and not mother and daughter. I wonder how Bea and Sam would look like when they become teenagers.
