Promise

I have tags to do and awards (yipee!) to post ... believe me when i say i enjoy doing tags ... it's just busy lang with work and other things .. but i promise to do it within the week.

Had many things going along this last week and was really overwhelmed with the activities ... but like my solemn promise .. things will normalize by the end of the week and i am back to my usual blog hops and posts with pictures.

The best is yet to come.

Scouting for a chain

Christian gifted me with an eternity ring for our anniversay!

I really was not expecting it ... but sure was excited to wear it!

I took off my other ring to replace it with the eternity ring when i came across small pendants that i have not used for a long time. I am now on the look out for a simple gold chain to string the locket on and give one to Bea and one for Sam. Will search the net for a good one as well.

Zoo animals

Brought the kids to the zoo last week and they really enjoyed looking at the different animals. It was a good time for us to go as we were just in time for "feeding time" and they really liked seeing the animals eating different kinds of food. Got to talk to one of the care takers and asked if it was difficult feeding different animals with different needs, he said he is used to it and that they schedule different days of the month in ordering the needs for particular kind of animal. They usually order supplies and food for the monkeys in January, followed by cattle supplies in the middle of the year and in between the supplies for the other animals like the birds and the fish. It sure was a interactive activity for the kids to see their favorite animals eat.

11 years and counting

It's official!

Christian and i have been married for eleven years! heheheh!

We celebrated our anniversary by having a good lunch date (with the kids of course) and strolled around the mall ... though i squeezed in a client meetup for 20 minutes (heheh!) then headed to the hospital to have dinner with my side of the family.

It was all in all a happy day.

Christian was gone the entire week last week, and he got home friday night lang just in time for our anniversary.. so everybody happy! Bea even had "Welcome home" cards taped in the refrigirator door.

Time really flew and i hardly noticed ... i can hardly believe that it has been eleven years since i walked down the aisle ..

I wonder when i get to celebrate ny 25 years if i will still say the same thing ... :)

Great seats

Was in the mall yesterday and was approached by a sales personnel for home theater setups and was really astonished with the comfort one can get when you watch at home. I sat down for a while to watch the presentation and marvelled at the home theater seating as it was like i was inside a theater and not in the mall. This is one of the things i wish we had in our house.

Knowing your options

I accompanied my sister last week to help her get term life insurance quote from her agent and help her weigh her options on as to what plan to get. There are actually many ways to go about it and having the quotes really come in handy in the decision making. Bottom line is it is important to get yourself fully protected and backed up with the best payment scheme available in the market.

Anniversary Facial treat

Christian gave me gift vouchers for facial spa sessions at The Zen. Used one voucher last week and it was so relaxing and nice. The Zen is at the Fort in Makati. The cubicle was well lit and you can only hear soothing music that makes you relax more. Turned my phone to silent but it kept on vibrating because Bea ans Sam kept on texting me asking if they could have a turn in the gameboy .... so much for uninterrupted relaxation ... hehehe ... but all the same it was so nice.

The moment i was left alone in the room, i whipped out my cellphone, made a funny face and snapped away (sorry for a part of my finger on the camera lens, was in a rush to take the shot) This is me with a firming mask all over my funny face ... hehehe!

Out at sea

Love this backdrop! It's like the kids were out at sea! They enjoyed hamming it for their papa, this was at Enchanted Kingdom (hence the ride-all-you-tags, hehehe!). They were also shouting and giggling playing make-believe! Kids really find ways to amuse themselves, and us parents find all the photo opps we can get them to pose for. lol!

Boating

When we were in Baguio the kids enjoyed a nice boat ride. Christian opted to not get a "bangkero" so he could be the one to man the boat with the kids at their own pace. I did not join them as i was having "me" time having a manicure and pedicure in the park. Yes, manicurists were around the park asking if you wanted a quick fix ... which i took with gusto! hehehe!

Mall wide Sale

There will be various malls that will be on sale tomorrow!

Will take this chance to buy school things for the girls, especially the bags. Found good bags at Mall of Asia yesterday, will get them tomorrow.

Had personalized bag tags done yesterday, let the girls pick the design and font themselves. They both chose High School Musical inspired tags for their things.

Hoping to make it to the mall early though to brave the shopping frenzy.

Last 4 for Idol

Brooke White has been voted off.

This leaves the last four aspiring Idols.

I like Archuleta because of his strong voice despite his refreshing and young face, am glad that he has gotten over the wetting of his lips every time he sings one line from the song, it is quite distracting.

Just a few more days before the new Idol emerges!

Strawberry pickers

The three kids had a grand time picking fresh strawberries at La Trinidad, Baguio City. It was truly a great experience for them. They loved to walk around and look around the bushes to pick the best fruit for them. Vin would always call out to me and ask if the strawberry is ready and ripe before he gets it. He likes to get the smallest strawberry in the bush while his sisters were on the lookout for the biggest strawberry.

When we got to the strawberry field it would still take a 5 minute walk to the actual lot where you can do the picking. You pay for the strawberries you pick and is measured by the kilo. The price is double if you pick them yourselves as compared to the ones that are already in the market ... but what the heck it is the fun that is important and that what the three kids got!

I have been to Baguio so many times and this is only the first time that i went to the strawberry fields at La Trinidad (a 30 minute car ride from Baguio City), it will surely be a must side trip every time we go up to Baguio from now on.

Refreshed header look

Changed my header today!

Had some time on my hands so i decided to tweak on my blog. Will try and make some changes on the blogs appearance but am quite careful as i might delete my widgets that took me forever to install ... hahaha!

"Slowly but surely" is my motto when it comes to updating the look ... or should it be "better be safe than sorry"...lol!

Will give it a little more time today though.

Movie date reserved

Movies have come and gone with me not watching it in cinemas and contend with waiting for it on dvds .... but this latest movie of Sharon Cuneta is one film that will not wait that long. My sister and i will watch it as soon as it hits the cinema! I caught a sneak peek of it while i was changing channels and with as little as 15 seconds peek it got me teary eyed! Will definitely not miss this!

Facial tomorrow

Christian gave me advanced anniversary gift, 5 facial gift certificates for facial sessions at The Zen Institute at The Fort! Yehey!

Will make an appointment for tomorrow afternoon for my first visit. Am excited that "me" time is coming tomorrow ... but of course that will come after i do my errands ... heheh!

Dessert Fix

It was almost closing time when we got to the Dippin' Dots station, good thing we were still able to get a large cup of strawberry flavored ice cream. We just finished eating dinner and was actually surprised that they still wanted dessert. In unison they said, "Mama, can you just buy us one then we will just share because we might not finish it." hehehe! Talk about being full, i was so full i could hardly walk to the car and was kidding Christian if he can just carry me. He actually did for a few steps before Vin said, "Papa, put Mama down ... carry me!" lol!

Calling it a morning

Yup, am parking my keyboard and calling it a day (or "morning" hahaha!)

But in truth i am still not sleepy having been through different blogs and having read the different happenings is enough to keep me alert and awake.

In two hours Christian will wake up and be surprised to see me here so i guess i have to get some shut eye before that happens. lol!

I have been going through different blogs lately trying to catch up on each other's lives and hopefully before the night (actually morning ... hehehe!) i will be finished doing my bunny blog hops. It has been quite a while since i bloghopped given the many activities the kids and my designs have, which explains why i am still blogging at this hour.

Got home around 12:00 am a while ago from Mall of Asia and played ps2 (bought new games) with Christian kaya now lang ako nakapagnet :)

Have no plans for tomorrow, so gives me a good excuse to sleep till around 10:00 am. :)

Paula Abdul's blunder

Was watching the live telecast of American Idol with the last 5 contestants when it was time for the judges (Jackson, Abdul and Cowell) to say something about their performances. They were suppose to react on the contestant's first song (they were required to sing two songs for this night) when Paula was reacting quite negatively for the first song of one Idol hopeful then followed it up by saying the Idol's (same Idol) 2nd song was not any better .... but the queer thing is the Idols just finished performing one song and not two.

Her face turned red and Simon and Ryan were saying that she (Paula) was looking at the future, as there has been no 2nd song yet.

What a blunder.
