Easter decorating at the mall

Bea and Sam joined McDonald's Easter Fun Day last easter, they had games and a super fast easter egg hunting .... alas, they did not find an egg ... everything happened so fast!

I actually saw an egg na, was thinking na nga kung kukunin ko na ba kasi medyo malayo pa sina Sam ... kaya lang the better of me ruled and i thought sige yaan ko na baka makahanap na sila on their own and it might not be fair for the others kung makikisali ako.

Then saw Bea and Sam's helpless look, wala pa silang egg ... yun pala the other parents were getting for their kids and the others got multiple eggs. hay!Sayang, had i known na ganun pala pinagkukuha ko na lahat ng nakita ko ... pero what's the fun kung di sila ang makakahanap ... but yung iba pati yaya kumukuha .... hay talaga!

So anyway, since super close na sila sa McD staff, nung nalaman nila na walang nakuha sina Bea, they gave then each egg (na usually sinosoli pag nakuha na yung paper sa loob with the prize) kaya happy na din sila ... easy to please naman talaga sila, kaya it breaks my heart if they get disappointed and if hindi fair ang situations. The mommy in me is really speaking here.

So anyway, we left McD ... and was headed for the timezone, when we saw an activity sa center mall ... easter egg and card making ... i hurriedly made my way sa registration and asked, "What is required to join? receipts? purchase?" ... halatang di ganado noh?!

So in short ... the three kids had an impromptu easter arts and craft! heheheh! There were no more space sa mga provided na tables, plus magkakahiwalay hiwalay sila, talked to the organizer and asked kung pwede na lang sila sa floor ... okay daw, maya maya pagtingin ko madami na kami sa floor ... hehehe!

The kit contained an easter egg, materials for card makings, glitter stickers, glue, scissors and different board papers.

Report Cards Today

Got the report cards of Bea and Sam in school today, and i could not be prouder! Am really so happy they are doing good in school ... and like i always say sana di mawala ang zest nila sa school. I really dread the day na they will come home saying they do not want to go to school. I always wake them up in the morning with nice activities to do in school ... i do not say "Wake up, you will be late" (though late na talaga kami!) ... instead i say "Wake up, it's PE day today, you will play with your friends etc..." ..... I must admit it really requires imagination kasi minsan talagang pressed for time na ako and i just want them up na kasi have to prepare their baon and stuff.

In the start of the school i always talk to their adviser and explain to them that they are very enthusiastic to go to school, and i hope there will not be a reason for them not to like it. I make sure they are always complete with assignments, kasi naalala ko noon ayoko mag-school kasi wala akong assignments etc.

Happily their teachers help me keep their liking for school consistent.

Next school year, Bea will be grade 4 and Sam grade 2 .... still a long way to go!

Luneta Funfare

I thought i was going to have a chance to blog like a mad woman during the Lenten break ... but having the kids around plus Christian spelled "pasyal" ... so had no chance to blog, but the days were filled with lots of fun! We were able to bring the kids to Rizal Park aka "Luneta" to have their dose of history and patriotism ... hehehe!

They enjoyed it! We brought along a cooler packed with cold drinks, passed by the supermarket to buy some chips and brought their bike and scooter na din.

We chanced upon a magic/trick show by some locals (naks feeling tourist naman daw ako ...lol!)and we gamely sat on the grass to watch. It was three men who comically was going through a hoop with knives (Bea said, "Mama, why are they doing that?" ...hehehe!) and after that someone from their camp would go around asking for coins for a well-applauded show.

Bea saw a lot of people flying kites, so for just P40 we had a kite :) And Bea had a grand time flying it! While Sam was deliciously devouring hot taho from a vendor ... yum! And the taho vendor had specific instructions, ("mama, tell him, not too much of the white stuff ... more of the brown sugar and the circle balls" lol!)

Vin naman had fun riding his bike, na nagulat ako ang bilis niya ... hehehe! Bea and Sam naman would hold the back of the bike para mahila sila kasi naka-skates naman sila. All in all it was a fun-filled day! Historic and Happy! What a combination!

Vin at four!

It's Vin's 4th Birthday today!

Time really flies so fast ... i can still clearly remember his birth, and it dawned on me that it has been four years since that day. The coming of Vin really is a miracle, one of the things i will forever be thankful and grateful for. All my children are gifts from heaven, my miracles, my reasons for living ... which is why i have opted to stay with them all their growing days. I have come to terms that i am a mama since i conceived with Bea and this is something that i will always cherish.

I have been kidded that i might be playing favorite with Vin (being the youngest and only boy are some reasons they cite) but believe me, i have no special affection for Vin that i do not feel for the two girls. I always justify the fact that he is the youngest and he does require more attention because he needs it more that the older girls. I really do not favor one child over the other. They have different personalities and needs so i deal with them differently.

I am happy that Bea and Sam do not feel that i do favor Vin over them, so i guess that means i am also giving them the attention and love they need.

Vin is more visible with me (parating karga and kasama) because we do not have yaya, so he comes with me all the time while the girls are in school or if they stay in my mom's house to play with their cousins.

Looking at Vin now, four years after the miracle birth makes me appreciate what God has given me.

You may click on the link to read about Vin's birth.

I have so many things to be thankful for, blessed with good children that i will forever love, a very supportive husband, my mama, my papa, my sisters and brother .... i have it everything i need.

God is good and he will never steer us wrong, no matter what path we take. We just have to believe and he will take care of the rest.

An Enchanted Birthday

Had a fun day at Enchanted Kingdom last Friday to celebrate Bea's birthday! Christian took a leave to be able to attend Bea's recognition rites in school and off we went to Enchanted. It was a good decision not to go on a weekend ... we practically had the place to ourselves!

Super happy ang tatlong kids! Sila na ang sumusuko sa mga rides. They would ride then if they like to do it again they run to the line again and it's them again ... no queue in any of the ride!

Christian accompanied them in all the rides, including the harmless and lazy train ride ...hahaha!

Christian and i were talking nga na noon we would frequent Enchanted na kaming dalawa lang, ngayon may tatlo nang mga kasama ...hehehe!

Sam went inside the Rialto, but when found out na "gumagalaw" yung chairs she suddenly panicked and said she wants to go out na ... so the show had to wait for Christian to bring Sam out of the theater. The show was Sponge Bob lang naman. :)

They also enjoyed the outdoor playground and the hanging bridge.

Good thing din pala we decided to bring the stroller, the kids took turn to sit there pag pagod na sila, sina Bea at Sam mga nakabitin ang mga feet. lol! We stayed there till closing time, talk about sinulit ang trip!

Till the next visit!

Bea's honors

Bea had her recognition ceremonies last friday (the day of her 10th birthday) she got an honor and a medal for academic excellence.

Bea's birthday invite

Bea just turned 10!

She is still into the Pokemon craze so she asked me to make her a Pokemon themed invite, and i really wanted to make it unique for my eldest girl ... this is what i came up with ... and Bea was so thrilled!

Made her mock-Pokemon cards as invites for her school party.
I even cut the corners to really resemble the Pokemon cards!

She had a great time and her classmates were really amazed that she has her own Pokemon card made for her birthday ... hehehe! Some of her classmates also wanted to have ones made for them too!

The three kiddies are finally settled sa back seat and have not heard the favorite line "are we there yet?" ...hehehe! When we get to where we are going i say "Okay, close it na, we are almost here", and they look around and sound surprised and say "Already??!!" lol!

Took a picture of them yesterday before we started a three hour car drive to the beach :)
